Laura Wieman
Laura,
the daughter of Henry and Merta Matlack, was born in Grinnell on July
19, 1913 and lived there until 1936. She returned in 1966 with her husband,
Henry Wieman, to her family home. She has a BA from Grinnell College and
an MFA from Southern Illinois University. She taught in public schools
and at SIU. She is a skilled weaver.
